Archive verification will merge/compare archive data with conceptual data.

Archive verification can be found in CSI Accelerator's Tools > Generalsection.

It is possible to run a new verification automatically or manually and view previous results:

Warning: Naming convention for new roles will not be applied automatically after a verification. In order to make sure that naming convention is applied to this new data go to Organize - Mass Changes - Update role naming.

Tip: Collapse and Expand the panes (Choose archive, Verification) in order to get an overview of the Verification details. Use the + and - signs to expand and collapse.

Automatic

CSI Accelerator asks to use the last created archive or a specific archive.

Click Yes to use the last created archive, click No to choose an archive from the archive drop down list.

This is the archive the application will verify its data against.

The application will already check options depending on the type of archive.

Type a verification name in the Verification field.

A comment can be added to the verification run.

Click Start or the start icon. After the run, the verification will list up the type and the number of items processed.

Each row has a complete explanation of the kind of processing that took place.

The verification options will be predefined based upon the archive chosen.

Note: These options can be manually modified when necessary.

Manual

Check the Manual option on top of the form.

Choose an archive from the Archive dropdown list.

Choose a table for display from the Table dropdown list.

Click Display to show the archive and application compare in the grid below.

The grid has the Application and Archive checkbox (tooltip) that indicates whether the item is from the archive table or from the application table.

New items can be added (mark the Add checkbox), items only in the application database can be removed (mark the Remove checkbox) and items that exist in both application and archive database can be updated (mark the Update checkbox).

Rows indicated for addition will be shown in green (), rows indicated for removal are shown in red (), rows indicated for update have an orange header (), the cells that have differences have orange text - once marked for update, the text color changes to green.

Rows indicated for update that have no differences have a yellow exclamation mark ( ) in their header.

The Auto sync button will calculate what rows can be deleted, removed and updated and mark the Add, Remove and Update checkbox for all rows at once.

The columns of the selected table have checkboxes in its headers.

Checked columns will be updated, unchecked columns will not be taken into account for update.

Checking a row for update changes the cells : orange text become green blocks.

The orange text indicate the differences, the green blocks are the cells updated from the archive.

Double click the green block to get its old value back.

Double click the orange text to get an update on a single field - the cells background changes to green.

The update and dirty checkbox are checked automatically.

Double click a cell in an unchecked column to override the update exclusion.

Auto execution

The verification form has a Schedule button that will record the current settings in an auto execute file (an xml file holding the settings needed for auto execution).

The verification has a Load button that reads an auto execute file.

Keep the Shift key for loading and immediately executing the auto execute file.

The Verification auto execute file will keep the settings and the selected archive.
